Due to the severe drought conditions existing across southeastern Georgia, the City of Glennville has issued a city-wide burn ban effective immediately and will stay in effect until further notice.
All outdoor burning is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:
- Yard debris burning
- Trash burning
- Campfires and fire pits
- Agricultural burns (unless specifically authorized)
Violations of the burn ban may result in fines and/or legal penalties in accordance with local and state regulations.
We ask that all residents do their part to help prevent wildfires and protect our community by:
- Avoiding any open flames outdoors
- Properly disposing of cigarettes
- Using caution with equipment that may produce sparks
- Reporting any signs of fire immediately to emergency services
Our priority is the safety of our residents, homes, and natural resources. Your cooperation during this time is essential and greatly appreciated.
Updates will be provided as conditions change.
Stay alert, stay safe, and help prevent wildfires! 🚨
