NOTICE OF TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Residents and Business Owners,

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing water quality, fire protection, and the reliability of our water infrastructure, the City of Glennville will be performing critical maintenance on 8-inch water mains. To complete this work safely and efficiently, the water service will be temporarily interrupted on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m.

Affected Areas:

  1. W Barnard St. (from S.R. 301 to Hencart Rd.)
  2.  N & S Church St. (from Hencart Rd. to W Mendell Ave.)
  3.  S Rushing St. (from W Barnard St. to Gordon St.)
  4.  W Mendell Ave. (from S Church St. to S Rushing St.)
  5.  Park Ave. (from S Church St. to S Rushing St.)
  6.  Kennedy St. & Waters Ave. (from W Mendell St. to S Church St.)

We understand that even a temporary water service disruption can be an inconvenience. However, these improvements are essential to ensuring a safer, more dependable water system for everyone in our community.

What You Can Do:

✅ Plan ahead by storing water for drinking and essential use before the scheduled maintenance.

✅ Check your plumbing once service is restored, as minor air pockets or discoloration may occur. Running cold water for a few minutes will help clear your lines.

A map of the known impacted areas is attached for your reference. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Public Works Director, Rob Fravel at 912-290-1015, or Water Superintendent, Jamie Witchell at 912-237-3075.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance our city’s water infrastructure.

Thank you!
